Refund & Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances can change. This policy outlines our refund and cancellation terms for event planning services provided by THE EVENT CONNECT LLC.

1. Deposit Policy

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date and initiate planning services. This deposit reserves your date on our calendar and compensates for the initial planning work and consultation time invested.

The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellation by the client.

2. Cancellation by Client

2.1 More Than 90 Days Before Event

If you cancel more than 90 days before your scheduled event date:

  • The 25% deposit is non-refundable
  • Up to 50% of any additional payments made may be refunded at our discretion
  • Refund amount will be determined based on work already completed

2.2 Within 90 Days of Event

If you cancel within 90 days of your scheduled event date:

  • The 25% deposit is non-refundable
  • All additional payments made are non-refundable
  • This reflects the significant time and resources invested in planning

2.3 Within 30 Days of Event

Cancellations within 30 days of the event date require full payment of the contracted amount.

3. Rescheduling

We understand that sometimes events need to be rescheduled rather than cancelled. Rescheduling requests are subject to our availability.

  • First reschedule: May be accommodated with minimal or no fee if requested more than 60 days before the original date
  • Subsequent reschedules: A rescheduling fee of $250-$500 may apply
  • Reschedules within 30 days: Treated as cancellation unless mutually agreed upon

4. Cancellation by THE EVENT CONNECT LLC

In the rare event that we must cancel our services:

  • We will provide as much notice as possible
  • All payments received will be refunded in full
  • We will attempt to recommend alternative service providers
  • We are not liable for any additional costs or damages

5. Force Majeure

Events cancelled due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, etc.) will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We will work with you to reschedule when possible or provide partial refunds minus work already completed.

6. Event Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing event insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances including vendor no-shows, weather issues, illness, and other unexpected events. Event insurance can provide coverage that we cannot offer.

7. Partial Services

If you wish to reduce the scope of services after signing a contract, payments already made will be applied to the revised scope. No refunds are provided for service reductions.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 30 business days using the original payment method when possible.
